The Principle of "H.A.L.T."

Each of us has to realize how our body feels
during different parts of the day.
Being overwhelmed, I stop and think
about the principle of "H.A.L.T.":
"Am I... Hungry, Angry, Lonely, or Tired?"

I like what you posted about recognizing a feeling without trying to change it... riding the wave. And the principle of HALT. It's getting easier to recognize the feelings but I still get the knee-jerk reaction to use food. It's just so much easier than trying to give myself what I need emotionally. Suppose I'm lonely... it's easier to eat to escape from the discomfort than it is to do something to make myself feel less lonely. This is what I am working on... what to do instead of eating.

I am trying to love myself just as I am and intuitive eating (and not dieting) is a huge part of that.
